The Challenge

On a tight timeline, budget, and amid a global pandemic, effectively plan and furnish a 125,000 square foot office with ergonomic, premium workstations.

An on-budget start to finish installation that included a full Space Plan, White Glove Delivery, and 855 workstations featuring our modern and thoughtfully designed furniture.

TouchBistro is the #1 iPad restaurant POS system that provides an all-in-one service of managing sales, improving customer service and helping their staff with decisions.

The restaurant industry is tough, and TouchBistro offers a solution to restaurateurs to help manage their business so they can focus on the key aspects of why they opened their restaurant in the first place. It’s a key asset for every day operations, and owners have touted the contribution it’s made to their bottom line, the ease of use and adaptability.

TouchBistro has won numerous awards including Best Places to Work, which is one of the reasons why the pressure was high for us to create a beautiful office space that their employees will find productive, and will be excited to come into. When they came to us to help with their new headquarters in Toronto with an initial two month delivery timeline and tight budget, we were up to the challenge.

To simplify the momentous process of furnishing a 6 floor, 125,000 square foot office, we started with focusing on the workstations. TouchBistro’s main goal was to provide an inviting workspace where each of their 850+ employees could enjoy an ergonomic workstation with premium materials and design while fitting a tight budget. After determining the desk size and type, we got to work on the multi floor Space Plan.
 

For a seamless install, the Branch Operations Management team was dispatched on-site to work alongside the building team and project manager to oversee all stages of the delivery. By executing a floor by floor install, TouchBistro began occupying individual floors as they became available, allowing them to get to work sooner than expected.

The result was a beautifully furnished office maximizing the space for TouchBistro’s employees to come into to do their best work. The ergonomic workstations feature Branch’s Back-to-Back Executive Standing Desks and Task Chairs to allow for movement throughout the day, and flexibility for how they work best. Having Monitor Arms further encourages ergonomic posture, while Privacy Panels allow for a more private workspace in an open concept office.

Furnish the 3rd floor loft and 4th floor penthouse in a 200 year-old retrofitted church that has a small passenger elevator, narrow staircases, and amid a snowstorm.
